You may have seen the sign in front of South Church or other churches in the area and wondered what it's all about. Alpha is an 11-week course that will give you a great introduction to the Christian faith in an enjoyable and relaxed environment. Alpha has been offered by many different denominations. Who is Alpha for?
It's for everyone! Never studied the Christian faith before? Not sure what the Bible says? Afraid your question is too basic or out of place? This is the right place for you! People attend from other faiths, backgrounds, and denominations. People who have gone to church all their lives might want to attend because they feel they have never fully understood the basics of the Christian faith.

What happens in the course?
We start each evening at South Church with a meal together for those who are able to make it. Next we listen to a brief talk from a speaker, and then the larger group breaks into smaller groups to discuss the topic. Here's a list of the topics:

How Much Does It Cost?
The Alpha course is FREE, although we may ask for a small contribution to help offset the cost of the meal.
